Read 1 Peter 5:6-11 Yesterday, we learned that we have an enemy who wants to destroy our lives. He wants to keep us from experiencing the life God desires for us. In our focus passage, one of the devil's tactics are revealed. Peter says, "your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." When we understand the way he works we can begin to exercise our authority over him. First of all, satan moves around disguising himself. He pushes himself on us ‘LIKE’ a roaring lion. He comes in big and loud. He struts around with a fake confidence as if he is the king of the situation. His goal is to expose the ones who will are bound by fear. He hopes his intimidation will reveal his easy prey. As Peter encourages his readers, I say to you ‘Stand firm in faith.” Don’t allow the bullying of the killjoy rob you of true life. Pull back his mask and expose the reality that he is already defeated. He has already been disarmed and in fact has NO power over you. Resist his lies today. Don’t be overcome by the ‘roar’ of a fake lion. #joyride
