The World's Makeover

Read Romans 12:1-2 One of my favorite translations of this verse is found in the J.B. Phillips version of the New Testament. Verse 2 reads, "Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God." This is such an accurate image of how the pressures of life and the influences of our world work. It squeezes us. This worldly pressure attempts to conform us into its intentions.

If we are not careful, we will be 'in name only' Christians living our lives just like the world. It is an indictment on the church that there is so little distinction it seems at times. We are called to be different. We are created in His image to reflect His likeness in the earth. It's in your DNA to be like God.

When you think about the world, you think about hatred, racism, judgment, fear, shame, poverty-mindset, victim mentality, and selfishness. These are not the attributes we were created to express through our lives.

You are created for blessing, fruitfulness, dominion, healthy relationships, and purpose fulfilled. You are designed for joy, peace, love, hope, and power. Christ came to restore His glory on your life. Don't allow the enemy or the world to do a makeover on you and cause you to live below that for which you were divinely designed.

2 Corinthians 3:18 "And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
